Dentures are a major prosthetic procedure offered by most dentists. These devices are constructed to replace missing teeth. There are supported by the surrounding soft tissue over the remaining bone of the arches in the mouth. There are still other denture designs some using small implants to affix the prosthetic in place and others use bonding agents to adhere the denture to the soft tissue of the mouth.
Partial dentures are also used if only a portion of the dentition (your full set of teeth) is missing. This type of denture is affixed using the existing teeth as support. Partial dentures are also known as removable bridges. Dentures are made to look like your existing teeth and are unrecognizable as prosthetics.
